Can’t believe its been 5 years since I first posted about the mcnally! now everyone has different shaped feet, if ur a nike suitor these shoes probably won’t be that comfortable; but for me and my ducks feet these are THE shit. On to my second pair now, and still going very nicely thank you. Here’s something nice for the eyes:

Finally laid my hands on a pair of these sick puppies a few months back, and after a month of so on my feet I’m really starting to take back all the bad things I ever said about Nike…. they’re tough as… well “old boots” I guess, my only complaint is about the grippyness of the sole for just walking around in, perhaps a little too hard wearing?

DC Galactica

I think this is one really underrated shoe! Seems that DC in their wisdom have stopped making the mens version and are now only releasing a womans fit shoe. A few of men releases are still available, white/grey/blue, black/red (pictured below) and black/blue/grey which also look hot! all with lots of shoe bling

Etnies Fulton

Looks like they took a lot cues from the Etnies Uptown, a little taller back at the heel, and a lot less of the brand etnieness on the back too. Love the sole pattern. As ever a few different colors and material combos have dropped, I think this is the best of the bunch I’ve seen so far.

Osiris D3 4.0

Dreams do come true, at least ofr D3 fans, with a second release of the osiris D3 4.0 (making the 4th release of this shoe started way back with the Dave Mayhew shoe in 2001)

4 Month Review – Etnies Uptown

These shoes go hard! been kicking them about for 4 months now, and still going strong. the G2 foam insole which is the kind of thing I always kill is still going strong and shows little sign of wear, the rough leather on the heel is really hard wearing as is the white leather upper.

There is something very special about a pair of boxfresh white sneaks, it’s been too long since I had a pair to worry about ‘keeping clean’. These feel like a real skate shoe, an elastic tongue keeper and padded tongue, I guess if I had gone for the nubuck they might last a little longer enjoying the honeymoon.

Vans Rowdy, Skink and Adidas Mastermind Hardland

A few things that have caught my eye over the past weeks:

Skink Mid, a nice mid top retro from Vans

Vans Rowdy, another vans release, in a somewhat higher cut – classic.

Adidas Mastermind Hardland, they disappeared quicker than a pair of limited release dunks, gone in a flash the day they were released on crooked, now just a memory crooked blog post. as ever with the limited released the photos make them look dam good…

DVS Spot the Difference

A couple of months back I wrote about the Keith Hufnagel Throwbacks… since then i’ve seen Huf and Heyes used interchangeably, either way lets play spot the difference with the DVS Hayes Mid Throwback Shoe.

From what i can work out the cool looking colors are the huf and the school looking colours are the heyes… or are we just all cashing in on the HUF brand here?

Etnies Uptown Mid

So much retro goodness knocking about at the moment, the Etnies uptown mid is no exception, that red heel loop is so reminiscent of the DC Essence (or perhaps the DC Syntax before that) from 1999. I like! a few different styles released, in various types of leather in either womens and mens fits. the mens styles are below:

Duffs G4 Hi

Gravis Cortex

Another premium release from gravis… or should that be another release from the premium brand gravis…

clean lines and waxed white leather, they’re all very nice and desirable… and I guess that’s the idea.

Etnies Czar 2

Back in 2001 and 2002 I wore my pair of the original etnies czar to death – I so loved those shoes. I even searched for another pair when they were done to see if I could buy a replacement… butthey had gone out of stock… so a bright yellow pair of eS scheme it was… I digress.

Etnies have now released the Czar 2 (i’d like to think it homage to me). They’re not quite the same as the original (hence not a re-release but a whole new shoe) there is a slightly different upper lace loop and the outsole has a quite different moulding – it was the outsole that split right across that sent my last pair to sneaker heaven.

These bring back so many memories, but will I be buying another pair? probably not.

DC Life Admiral Sport

Now the 2008 holiday DC ‘lifestyle’ collection Admiral Shoe was just Gay, but these are actually kind of hot, the height of the ankle has been reduced. Sure they are just another skytop or tk society clone, but then every hi topped shoe with a massive tongue that gets released could be accused of that.
